Microalgae is better known for its green and red tides that occur every summer. However, microalgae are photosynthetic microorganisms that grow using light and play a signigicant role in producing oxygen on Earth. Especially, the reason why it receives attention is microalgae’s mass productivity.

Microalgae is a unicellular organism with a simple structure, which means it can grow dramatically depending on temperature, pH, nutrients and CO2 level through its photosynthesis and cell division. The main action that takes in the growth of microalgae is photosynthesis. This means microalgae takes CO2 and returns oxygen. This is why microalgae nowadays take spotlights as Oxegen producing air purifiers. This aspect is similar to trees, but microalgae are much more heavy eaters of CO2 than trees. Some types of microalgae can eat CO2 200 times more than trees.

Many cities suffer from fine dust problems these days, making it harder to open windows and ventilate dirty interior air. Though many air purifiers are introduced in markets, air purifiers usually filter polluted air only and cannot lower CO2 levels. In contrast, microalgae air purifier lamps can lower CO2 levels. It is a highly effective and environment-friendly air purifier.
